ABOUT

I was born in Athens, Greece where I also studied Rural and Surveying Engineering at the National Technical University of Athens (NTUA). In 2011 I received my Engineering Diploma and I continued as a Ph.D. student on the same university. In particular, I was working on the Remote Sensing Lab under the supervision of Dr. Konstantinos Karantzalos. During 2014 and 2015 I spent some wonderful months as a visiting Ph.D. student at École des Ponts ParisTech and CentraleSupélec working under the supervision of Prof. Nikos Komodakis and Prof. Nikos Paragios.

Right now, I am a post-doctoral researcher at CentraleSupélec, University of Paris-Saclay at the Center for Visual Computing Laboratory where I work with Prof. Nikos Paragios. My research interests include medical imaging, remote sensing, machine learning and deep learning. In specific, I investigate methods that are based on graphical models and deep learning to solve problems related to semantic segmentation, change detection and registration both on remote sensing/ earth observation and medical imaging research domains.

Developing an automatic system based on deep learning which monitors different type of defects in the current railway network of France. Collaboration with SNCF.

Improving the prediction of anticancer agents’ efficacy using deep learning approaches on radiomics and genomic data. Collaboration with Institut Gustave Roussy.
